GBA President donates Boxing Gear to Sophia Boxing Gym
President of the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA) Steve Ninvalle on Sunday donated Boxing Gear which included Gloves, Head Gear, Groin Protectors, mouth guards and Jerseys to the Sophia Warriors Boxing Gym.

The Coach of the Gym located at ‘A’ Field Sophia is former Middleweight Boxer Winston Pompey, who fought in 13 professional bouts between 2005 & 2017, collected the Gear for Ninvalle who made a personal donation.
Ninvalle bought the Gear when he attended a Boxing Congress and disclosed that he was prompted to make the donation after the 49-year-old Pompey was finding it difficult to acquire the Gear despite seeking donations from several individuals.
Pompey’s young charges were in attendance as the Gear was handed over to their Coach.
