As the final countdown begins to the start of the GFF-ExxonMobil International Futsal Festival scheduled to take place at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall from December 27-31, the New GPC Inc. is on board and has joined the list of partners in support of the inaugural tournament.
New GPC Inc.’s Elizabeth Ram presents tickets to Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major at the Agency’s Ruimveldt Headquarters.
This commitment was made on Thursday last in the form of the printing of invitations and tickets as well as an undisclosed monetary contribution, which will go towards airline tickets for the international participating teams.
Ms. Elizabeth Ram, the company’s Marketing Assistant, presented the contribution on behalf of
New GPC Inc. while Aubrey “Shanghai” Major, one of the tournament’s organizers, received on behalf of the GFF.
The festival will kick off with six matches that will be played between the hours of 18:00hrs and
00:00hrs with each match being played on the hour culminating with the final match at 23:00hrs.
The teams, which include Morvant Caledonia United from Trinidad and Tobago, ZV All-Stars from Suriname, and a São Paulo selection from Brazil, will be placed in two groups. The local participating teams are an East Coast All-Stars, Linden All-Stars, Georgetown All-Stars and West Demerara All-Stars.
The winning team will pocket $1.2 million, while the losing finalist will receive half that amount. Third and fourth-placed finishers will pocket $300,000 and $100,000 respectively.
Admission to the event will be $1,000.
