Dec 24, 2018 Letters
Dear Editor,
In the letter “Government and Opposition must develop strategies on the way forward, inclusive of communication and crisis management” (KN, 23rd December 2018) Citizen Audreyanna Thomas makes a case for the Government and the Opposition to be in communication with each other and with society.
Effective communication is not just about talking; it is about listening as well.
I support Citizen Audreyanna Thomas endeavour to bridge the political divide by asking that the Government and Opposition open channels of communications with each other and with society.
It is good that President David Granger and Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo sees the need to meet with each other to chart a way forward for Guyanese. Hopefully they will have these meetings more regularly and talk and listen to each other.
Yours Faithfully
Sean Ori
