Two men who contributed
Dear Editor,
Guyana has recently lost two prominent personalities in the persons of Dr. Benjie Singh and Mr. Ronald Gajraj. Both men made their contributions to society in ways that have profoundly touched the lives of Guyanese.
I happened to know both of them at a personal level and I can attest to the high degree of professionalism and humanity they displayed in their respective disciplines. Dr. Benjie was someone who could be described as a ‘people’s doctor’ and Mr. Gajraj’s contribution to law, politics and diplomacy was substantial.
I wish to express my deepest condolences to the relatives and friends of both Dr. Benjie Singh and Mr. Ronald Gajraj.
The country is certainly poorer because of their passing.
