Alan Zaakir speaks on behalf of Canada based Guyanese who love the budget, who are these Canada Based Guyanese he represents? Guess he saw them when he looked in the mirror.
Perhaps he should do some research into small non-white countries to see what oil discoveries have done for the poor. The budget has numbers but how much will trickle down to the poor to make their lives better?
He should look in the country, which he lives in and see the billions of dollars that the government in that country budgets, yet the poor gets poorer. So explain Alan, how can this collection of senior citizens who play government and the race hate spewing Viola Lawrence make Guyana rise and make life better for the Guyanese poor with the oil wealth?
Can you tell the Guyanese people of the Oil Sands Development in the country you now reside, how it is now a toxic wasteland although it had billions of dollars in investment and the best technology money can buy?
EXXON has a history of fraud. The bank that wants to come as banker, Merrill Lynch, has been penalized for fraud in the past. These will be the new managers of the oil wealth in Guyana.
So Allan you want to be a PNC mouthpiece, you are free to have opinions and free speech. However, when that is used to peddle stupidity someone has to take a stand. You should know the Opposition anywhere has all the answers to run governments properly, until they get in power then they go brain dead.
So listen to the opposition. That’s what a wise man said in 1992 when PPP won. If you want to know how to run government properly, read the PNC Newspaper, “The New Nation”.
Yours
David.
