When a snake start to bite ee own tail something wrong. De snake is not de only animal dat does get a problem wid he own tail. People does see dog chasing it own tail.
Dat is wha happening in de courts today. People don’t get hang no more. A man kill anodda one or he kill a woman and go in court. De case try and he get a li’l sentence and come out. Dat is how people start to kill like if life didn’t have value.
A judge decide to try to stop de killing suh he start to hand down some serious sentence. After a while, nobody didn’t want to go before him fuh trial. When dem boys ask de judge bout he sentencing policy, he seh dat dem ain’t hanging anybody, suh he mekking sure dat de people don’t come out of jail to kill again.
Dat is suppose to be a good thing but all of a sudden de lawyers who go and represent de killers in front de judge now challenging de judge. Dem going to de Court of Appeal to complain about de big sentences. And de Appeal Court listening. Couple times well de court overturn de big sentence and send de people back fuh do over de trial.
Dat is de first tail bite. De second bite is when de Appeal Court does reduce de sentence.
One man got de nerve to go to de Appeal Court and challenge de sentence he get fuh rape. He want de court to tell de judge how de sentence too harsh. Then anodda one kill he wife and he ain’t agree wid de big sentence he get.
Dem boys believe de time coming when de criminal guh tell de judge how much jail time he must get. But dis same thing wid de appeal can backfire. De judge might give anodda kind of sentence dat gon mek people cuss.
Dis thing cut both ways and de judge always in de middle. When de sentence too harsh, de lawyers appealing and when de sentence too lenient de prosecutor does appeal.
Talk half and watch out fuh dem criminals who wan choose dem jail time!
