Expeditious and joint action by ranks of B’ Division, New Amsterdam, has led to the capture of murder suspect, Jermaine Barclay, of Stanleytown, New Amsterdam. He was found at an abandoned house in 47 Stanleytown just around 8:45 am yesterday. The other suspect is still in hiding but police have indicated that they are working on some leads.
Barclay escaped after brazenly stabbing his brother-in-law, Nkomo La Rose, to death on Monday following a heated row over a female at Stanleytown.
Kaieteur News had reported that La Rose, his wife and his brother-in-law were imbibing alcohol together at 41 Stanleytown when an argument between the two erupted and escalated.
The row reportedly stemmed from La Rose’s attempts to advise Barclay about the woman he was dating. His advice was not welcomed by the suspect.
