Dorado Speed Swim Club (DSSC) athletes did themselves, club and country proud over the past weekend when they combined to deliver a 7th place finish among the 24-clubs that participated at the Amateur Swimming Association of Trinidad and Tobago (ASATT) Invitational Swimming Championships held at the National Aquatic Centre, Balmain Couva.

DSSC accumulated a total of 227.50 points at the championship that was won by home club, Tidal Wave Aquatics which amassed 1,239 points. Second was Marlins Swim Club with 749 followed by Blue Dolphin Swim Club (580. 50), Flying Fish Swim Club (576), Atlantis Aquatics Swim Club (568), Sea Hawks S.C. (459) and Dorado Speed Swim Club of Guyana (227. 50).
Dolphin Speed Swim Club also of Guyana ended 19th overall with a total of 25 points. Sharks Swim Club of St. Lucia ended 13th with 66 points, while University of the West Indies placed 17th with 37 points.
With regards to the individual rankings in the 8 and Under Women, Dorado’s Jasmin Allen ended 4th with 25.50 points; 11-12 Men – Raekwon Noel ended 3rd with 58 points; Ethan Gonsalves 7th on 32 points; Elliott Gonsalves 11th (13 points), Vladimir Woodroffe 13th (11 points). In the 13-14 Women, Donna Carter ended 11th with 20 points.
