The body of an unidentifiable male was yesterday about 15:40 hrs found floating at Black Water Koker, Crabwood Creek, Upper Corentyne, Berbice.
According to information received, an anonymous caller called the Springlands Police Station and reported there was a body of East Indian decent floating in the creek.
Shortly after, ranks ventured to the area and the body was pulled from the waters and examined by a rank for possible marks of violence but none was seen.
The body was then escorted to the Skeldon Public Hospital where it was certified dead by a doctor. It was subsequently escorted to Bailey’s Funeral home awaiting identification followed by an autopsy.
Investigations are in progress.
