Titus Daniels of Vryheid’s Lust, and Kevin Benn of Plaisance, were yesterday released on bail after an appearance before Magistrate Marissa Mittelholzer in the Georgetown Magistrates Courts to answer to separate charges for robbery.
In the case of Daniels, it was alleged that on November 30, 2018, at Coral Street Georgetown, he stole from the person of Merlin Williams one Samsung Galaxy S7 cell phone valued at $163,000 property of Williams.
In Benn’s case, it was alleged that on March 31, 2018, at Regent and Hinck Streets while being armed with a knife, he robbed Navindra Rampersaud of one Samsung S6 cell phone valued at $78,000.
Both men denied the accusations.
Magistrate Marissa Mittelholzer released Daniels on $50,000 bail and Benn on $60,000 bail. The matters were adjourned until the 25 January, 2019.
