Dem boys want everybody to know, de one thing you have dat nobody else has is you…your voice, your mind, your story, your vision.
So write, draw and build; play, dance and live as only you can.
Dem boys hope Soulja Bai tek note of those words. Guyana got a voice, a vision and a story dat he got to preserve.
De country still struggling wid dis thing called local content. It means all oil companies must use all de equipment, labour and services dat Guyana has before dem look elsewhere.
Once de price right and de goods available then de oil companies must tek de service from Guyana.
A Minister of Equatorial Guinea cancel all contracts with a U.S.-based oil service company, because it didn’t comply wid de local content regulations in dat country.
De Minister seh, he got an obligation to mek sure all dem oil people respect de laws of he country.
“Companies operating in the oil sector have an obligation to work within the confines of our very flexible and practical local content regulations.” Dat is wha de Minister seh.
Further to dis, de man seh he will continue to work with oil companies operating in his country to cancel contracts and find new suppliers for companies dat have refused to comply with local content regulations.
Soulja Bai should tek note. Dat country got National Content Regulation since 2014. All agreements must have local content clauses and provisions for capacity building.
De clause give preference to local or regional companies fuh service contracts. Local shareholders must be part of every contract according to de law.
Guyana ain’t got no local content regulation. Dat is why ExxonMobil coulda buy couple dhall puri and channa wid sour and call dat local content.
Dem put an ad in de newspaper defending demself and dem seh dat is local content.
Exxon tek advantage and Soulja Bai should know dis.
Talk half and hope de people he appoint wake up and smell de reality.
