The National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), yesterday, opened several tenders for a plethora of projects, one being the rehabilitation of works for the Lusignan prison. The tender, opened by the Ministry of Public Security, saw a host of bidders, both ranging above and below the engineer’s estimate.
The Ministry of Public Security also tabled tenders for six other construction projects, which included the rehabilitation of works to living quarters at the Beterverwagting Police Station compound and at the Linden police compound.
The ministry was also seeking janitorial services and cleaning supplies for the Guyana Prison Service; bids were tabled for concreting of drains and surfaces for Lusignan’s holding bay as well as for the rehabilitation of Timehri Police station and its barracks.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of the Presidency is looking to procure a new vehicle; four bids were received.
The Ministry of the Presidency is currently looking to procure services that will provide ready-made uniforms and accessories.
Several companies have placed their bids to provide security services for the Ministry of the Presidency, with services that will extend to five locations.
The Guyana Elections Commission is seeking the services of companies for the procurement of computer spares.
The Ministry of Public Health has received several tenders for the construction of the Ruimveldt Polyclinic Blue Mountain Road, Festival City Entrance.
