Following the latest round of matches in the inaugural Guyoil/Tradewind Tankers school football league, Lodge and Annandale Secondary both have 21 points after winning each of their seven competed games. However, Lodge have a better goal difference and are number one with +21 goals as opposed to Annandale’s +20. Christianburg/Wismar Secondary School (CWSS) have a fantastic goal difference of +44 and are third with 20 points but have played eight games.
Fourth placed Vergenoegen who were leading the league for a couple of rounds earlier in the competition have 16 points from eight games played so far.
In the latest round of play on Monday, Marian Academy put a 4-0 thrashing on St. Rose’s, while the Bishops’ High edged Dolphin Secondary 2-1.
The league continues this afternoon with two matches from 15:30hrs where both the leading teams will be in action at the Ministry of Education (MOE) ground. In the first match, Annandale will match skills with Dolphin, while in the feature clash, league leaders Lodge will play the struggling St. Rose’s side.
