Football enthusiasts, family and friends will converge on the Den Amstel Community Centre ground tomorrow for the final of the Brian Tiwari 60th
Birth Anniversary Football Tournament which kicks off at 6:00pm.
The action opens with Soesdyke facing Sophia at 6:00pm, followed at 6:30pm by Uitvlugt against Timehri and host Den Amstel versus Bagotville at 7:00pm. The winner of the third game will draw the bye to the semi final where the winners will collide for a spot in the final to be played at 9:00pm.
Before the final an exhibition winner take contest will be played to add to the excitement for the fans. Mr. Tiwari has put up $50,000 for the winner of that engagement. It will see Mahaicony battling Zeelugt and Pouderoyen tackling Goed Fortuin and the winners will collide for the 50-grand.
The charismatic businessman consented to provide funding for the hosting of the two-day competition which will commemorate the significant milestone and has been organised by Lennox Arthur.
Mr. Tiwari has donated the first prize of a trophy and $100,000, with the second prize of $50,000 donated by Michael Cummings.
Among some of the key players representing the respective teams battling for the birthday tourney, include Trayon Bobb, Delon Lanferman, Jeffrey Perreira and Anthony Harding. Keen competition is anticipated.
