Grove Hi Tech’s Nicholai Matthews on the go against Samatta Point/Kaneville in their clash which the former won 14-0.
Soesdyke Falcons have earned the right to battle Grove Hi Tech in Sunday’s final of the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) knock-out competition, the same two teams will be the association’s representatives at this year-end’s Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Super 16 tournament.
Contesting the lone semi-final of the competition which attracted thirteen (13) clubs at the Diamond Community Centre Ground on Sunday last, Soesdyke, making a comeback at the senior level were outplayed but buried one of the few chances created and that was all that was needed to send their neighbours, Timehri Panthers packing.
Colin McLean found the back of the nets in the 38th minute to punch Soesdyke’s ticket to Sunday final and a date with Grove Hi Tech, the association’s #1 club over the past couple of years. Kick off time on Sunday will be 14:30hrs.
Prior to meeting Timehri, Soesdyke had a solid win over Herstelling Raiders by a 4-1 margin but will find the going tough against the rampant Grove Hi Tech side which have scored a total of 24 goals so far without letting in any.
Grove had trounced Samatta Point/Kaneville 14-0 in their opening fixture before walking past Kuru Kururu Warriors 10-0.
