The decomposing body of a 22-year-old woman was found yesterday morning under a tree in Hydronie Market Road, Parika, East Bank Essequibo.
Police identified the victim as Romeza Sukdeo, a homeless woman and substance abuser.
She is believed to have died last Thursday, but there was no indication of foul play.
The victim, barefoot and wearing a multi-coloured dress, was found by a female security guard.
Romeza’s mother Naimwattie Persaud, of Parika Façade, said she last saw her daughter on Thursday.
