The Round Robin Pepsi 50-Overs First Division Cricket Tournament organised by the Berbice Cricket Board continued over the last two weekends. The Pepsi Tournament is the 4th First Division Tournament to be organised by the vibrant Berbice Cricket Board, while the Busta Champion of Champions 40-Overs Knockout Tournament would start shortly to round off a busy season for Berbice Players. National Senior Players Romario Shepherd and Clinton Pestano turned out for their respective clubs after completing duties at the Regional 50-Overs levels and played major roles.
Scores from the matches played:
1) At Bush Lot: Tucber Park defeated West Berbice by 123 runs.
Tucber Park made 188 all out in 40-Overs with Romario Shepherd topscoring with 88 and Nial Smith batting at number nine clipping in with 20. Keon Joseph, Krisnadat Ramoo, Stefan Adams, Andrew Dutchin and Sherwin McPherson took two wickets apiece.
West Berbice in reply were bundled out for 65 as national Under-17 all rounder Leon Swammy returned his best ever First Division figures of 6 for 17, while offspinner Kwesi Mickle took 3 for 23.
2) At Port Mourant: Rose Hall Canje defeated a winless Police Team by 37 runs to close off their Pepsi Campaign with a second victory.
Rose Hall Canje made 119 all out in 31 Overs with Michael Campbelle 40 and Ameer Rahaman 20 being the principal scorers. Left arm spinner Michael Tyndall took 3 for 23 for Police, who in return were bowled out for 82 with T. Drakes 35 and Grisean Grant 25 offering resistance. Pacer Michael Campbelle returned with the ball to take 4 for 15, while the experienced Ameer Rahaman took 4 for 15.
3) At Bush Lot: Blairmont Community Centre defeated Rose Hall Canje by 138 runs. Blairmont 236 all out in 45-Overs with Nigel Deodat 57, Seon Glasgow 37 and Devendra Lalsa 28 top scoring as Michael Campbelle 2 for 29, Isiah Thorne 2 for 38, Martin Singh 2 for 42 and Joel Seitaram 2 for 36 bowled well for Rose Hall Canje. Javed Karim 3 for 22 and Hemraj Heeralall 4 for 20 then bowled out the visitors for 88 as only Sasenarine Sukhu 21 and Martin Singh 17 reached double figures.
4) At Area ‘H’ Ground: Albion Community Centre defeated Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets by one wicket. Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets 139 all out in 38.1 Overs. Kevin Sinclair 60, Kevlon Anderson 34, Junior Sinclair 22, David Latchya 2 for 32, Sharaz Ramcharran 3 for 27. Albion Community Centre 140 for 9 in 39.2 Overs. Sharaz Ramcharran 59, Kevin Umroa 18 not out, Sylus Tyndall 5 for 31, Shawn Pereira 2 for 26.
5) At Area ‘H’ Ground: Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets defeated Port Mourant Cricket Club 99 runs.
Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets 236 for 9 in 45-Overs; Kevin Sinclair 32, Clinton Pestano 58, Eon Hooper 32; P. Chatterpaul 4 for 31, Doorsammy Mahadeo 2 for 43, Loyydel Lewis 2 for 38.
Port Mourant Cricket Club 137 all out in 30.1 Overs; Kellon Carmichael 41, Samuel Kistasammy 16, Sylus Tyndall 2 for 28, Kevin Sinclair 2 for 20, Shawn Pereira 6 for 20.
6) At No. 70 Ground: Port Mourant Cricket Club defeated Upper Corentyne by 148 runs.

7) At Cumberland Ground: Blairmont Community Centre lost to Young Warriors Cricket Club by 61 runs in a match reduced to 25 Overs due to rain.
Young Warriors Cricket Club 156 for 6. Vishal Mohabir 25, Linden Austin 27, Alex Algoo 60. Shabeer Baksh 5 for 34.
Blairmont Community Centre 96 all out in 24 Overs. Shabeer Baksh 22, W. Inshan 22, Trevlon Stanislaus 3 for 21, Kassim Khan 2 for 8 and Devendra Ramoutar 2 for 16.
8) Albion Community Centre defeated Skeldon Cricket Club by 166 runs. Albion 245 for 8 from 40 Overs. Kandasammy Surujnarine 57, Adrian Sukhwa 38, Sharaz Ramcharran 32. Errol Byass 3 for 40, Victor Pedro 2 for 42.
Skeldon Cricket Club 79 all out in 24.3 Overs. D. Edwards 22, Sharaz Ramcharran 6 for 12, Kevin Umroa 3 for 26.
