Guyana compete at World Junior Badminton Championships in Markham Canada
Priyanna Ramdhani & Jayde DaSilva play against the USA.
The Guyana Badminton Junior Team is participating in the Li Ning BWF World Juniors Mixed Team & Individual Badminton Championships in Markham Canada which started November 3 and runs to the 18th.
The Team consist of Priyanna Ramdhani (Captain), Jayde DaSilva, Tyrese Jeffrey, Akili Haynes (Vice-Captain) and Manager Emelia Ramdhani. Guyana is the Only Caribbean Country participating in this Event.
The Guyana Badminton team competing at the World Junior Championships.
This Championship is a very high one and our young Junior players will not only get the necessary experience but will get higher world ranking points to help qualify for the Pan Am Games 2019 which is a qualifier for Olympics a release from the GBA informed.
The Team tournament which consists of 41 countries who have been placed in Groups A1, A2, B, C, D, E, F, G & H.
The Guyana Team is placed in Group G along with Denmark, Singapore, USA & Dominican Republic.
In the Round Robin Group Stage: Guyana lost to Singapore, Denmark and the USA all by 5-0 margins.
