On Sunday 18th November the 19th Annual Diamond Mineral Water 46 miles Cycle Road Race will be stages starting at 08:30hrs.
Cyclists will pedal off from the Demerara Harbour Bridge proceed to Parika and back to the starting point for the finish.
Prizes will be presented to the first six seniors, oldest cyclist and top three in the Juniors, Veterans and Mountain bike categories. Also, 8 prime prizes will be on offer for the riders to cash in on.
The event is sponsored by Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) and Organised by National Cycling Coach, Hassan Mohammed, MS.
Last year’s winners were:
Seniors: Jamaul John (2hrs, 14 mins)
Juniors: Curtis Dey (now in the senior category)
Veterans: Paul Choo-wee-nam
Mountain Bike: Ozia McAully
All the above mentioned are expected to be on hand to defend their respective titles and keen competition is anticipated.
Larry Wills of DDL and staff will be on hand to the present prizes.
