Dear Comrades,
It is time for me to remind the Guyanese people why the PPP should not be elected to office for a very long time, be it Local Government Election or General Elections.
The APNU took office for three years and has accomplished a lot. Yes, APNU would like to do more as they had promised. However, the APNU has not provided enough information of their accomplishments disseminated to the people. Therefore it is justified if some speak negatively of the present government.
For 23 long years, the PPP in Office have used the sugar workers with their propaganda against the PNC and now uses them against the APNU coalition. What have they done to improve the lives of those poor people?
When the PPP left office, many schools were in deplorable conditions. The hospitals were decorated (so much so that cats and dogs were sleeping in the hospital beds in West Demerara Hospital), roads were left in a deportable state, many wharves and stellings were left unattended and fell apart.
Most of all, there is a large presence of discrimination in the country. May you be reminded of the death squad, the four hundred young, innocent black children that were murdered?
We all see what happens to those who were given house lots like Pradoville 1 and Pradoville 2. Honestly, it is not about the country or the people; rather, it is about how they can fill their own pockets, and the oil that is supposed to be the big thing that gives them sleepless nights.
I can go on and on, but in the upcoming days and weeks I will send to you reminders and facts little by little so they can be digested.
Sincerely yours,
B. Rayman
