The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has presented footballs to two Member Associations as a lead up to the national roll out of the GFF-Kool Kidz Grassroots programme, scheduled for tomorrow.
The presentation of 25 footballs for each Association was made by President Wayne Forde on
25th October, 2018 to Technical Development Officers of the East Bank Demerara and East
Demerara Football Associations respectively.
The balls were given to aid the execution of the national grassroots programme, which seeks to, among others, expand the player population of children in the six – 12 years old age group across
Guyana. Presentation of similar equipment will be done to each Member Association later in the week.
The programme, done in partnership with the Guyana Beverages Inc, is scheduled to be held every Saturday in each of the nine Member Associations and will feature fun football activities to effectively introduce children to the sport.
The GFF-Kool Kidz Grassroots programme has evolved from the GFF-Kool Kidz Sunday, an initiative held in Georgetown and which attracted a large number of participants.
