Eight Primary School teams are still in with a chance to emerge as the Champions of the 2018 edition of the COURTS under-11 Peewee football tournament including defending champions West Ruimveldt who were boosted by a brace from Jonathan Andries during a 2-1 come from behind victory against Plaisance Bosco last Saturday in their round-of-16 match.
West will match skills with St. Ambrose Primary in their quarterfinal game.
Golden Grove pulled off a surprise victory after beating 2017 losing finalists and inaugural winners, Marian Academy via a 2-0 victory in their round-of-16 clash which saw both goals coming off the boot of star player Bryan Wharton. Grove’s quarterfinal with St. Pius will surely bring fireworks.
St. Agnes are the most dangerously looking team in the quarterfinals and Tucville will be wary of the team’s two top forwards in Shamar Murray and Justin Alcindor who both have netted nine goals each so far in the campaign.
North Georgetown will be pitted against Mocha Arcadia Primary in the feature quarterfinal game today at 15:30hrs.
Before the finals, the eighth to 16th plate finals will be competed. Please see full fixtures below.
