Dear Editor,
The open show by the President of the United States of his anti-abortion, and anti-gay marriage position have warmed the hearts of Christians everywhere, and give hope that America will return to a time of high motility, and the fear of God. This also fosters hope for return of the days of abundance in this great nation.
However some believers who are looking at another side of this controversial President, are of the opinion that the issue aforementioned may be just a case of putting the carrot before the horse .They are indicating that they smell deception.
The stench they refer to is that of Mr. Trump referring to Nazis protesters as good people, but his strong criticism of the group Black Lives Matter and Mr. Colin Kaepernick kneeling to the national anthem to protest unfair treatments, and killing of unarmed black youths by police. Mr. Trump argues that the anthem must be respected, while Afro Americans argue for fair treatment in America.
There is also the issue of the treatment of women in corporate America, since the recent reports of sexual misconduct by many in high office. Some of those indicated have also happened to be individuals that the president has endorsed for higher office. Similar acquisitions have also been made against Mr. Trump.
The environmentalists are also concerned that recent efforts to remove many environmental protection laws, are just an attempt by the rich to get richer, and to do so at the expense of the destruction of our green planet. Mr. Trump on the other hand seems to think that this issue of global warming is a big joke, while Americans are forced to deal with new natural disasters.
In spite of all this the Evangelical church has rallied around the 45th president of America. Such actions by the church have not been received well by young African Americans, who have concluded that there is no place for black people in Christianity.
They now feel that the God of the Christian church is for whites only. However this is far from the truth. Black people have played major roles in scripture from Genesis to Revelations. Showing clearly that the God of Israel do not see them as inferior.
Something must be done now to save this young black generation from going down this wrong road. Ethiopia must not be prevented from stretching forth her hands in these last days. The church must remove the bridle, and be outspoken against the abuse of women and the unfair treatments to blacks in America, as they are against abortions and Gay rights.
Unless this equation is balanced the church will have to hold themselves responsible for sending yet another generation of black youths to hell, upholding the teachings of Adolf Hitler, and the destruction of our dear planet.
There is no doubt that a large percentage of America like Mr. Trump, but a complementary large percentage of the good people of America are of a different persuasion to him. These people must not be bullied to give their jacket to him.
