Former national basketball player Wayne Augustus Andries or ‘Fat Wayne’ as he was known or ‘Bouncer’ to the basketball fraternity will be buried in New York today.
Andries succumbed to cancer and leaves to mourn his passing his wife Suzette, children Christina and Christopher and the basketball communities in Guyana and abroad.
The viewing and funeral service for Fat Wayne was held yesterday at the Caribe Funeral Home Inc. on Utica Avenue, Brooklyn New York, while a wake was held last Sunday at the Access Community Centre on Church Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
The internment for Wayne Adries will be at the Pine Lawn Cemetery. A repast was staged at the Access Community Centre last night and at the Mackenzie Sports Club in Mackenzie Linden.
