Regal Masters and Regal All stars registered victories when the Permaul’s Trading, Khan’s Trading, Back to Eden and Trophy Stall softball tournament continued yesterday at GNIC Sports Club ground.
Regal Masters defeated Fisherman Masters by three wickets. Batting first, Fisherman Masters managed 161-8 off their allotted 20 overs.
Danny Thomas struck two fours and two sixes in a top score of 42 while Stanley Mohabir made 34 with two fours and three sixes. Tyrone Sanasie claimed 3-29, Mohendra Arjune 2-5, David Harper 2-15 and Saheed Mohamed 1-14.
Regal Masters responded with 164-7 in 19 overs. Eric Thomas led with 42 which contained two fours and three sixes, David Harper made 33 including two fours and two sixes, while Saheed Mohamed contributed 32 which contained five fours. Mohabir snared 3-26 and Thomas 2-28.
Regal All stars overcame Farm XI by 79 runs. Regal All stars took first strike and posted 153-9 in 20 overs. Khalid Haslim struck three fours and three sixes in a top score of 36 off 21 balls while Patrick Rooplall made 22 with three sixes off 11 balls.
Keisho Ramsarran, Quazim Yusuf and Ajay Kishun picked up two wickets each.
Farm scored 74-8 in response. Patrick Khan made 16 and Yusuf 14; Sachin Singh and Rickey Sargeant took two wickets each.
