Police over the weekend arrested a Linden woman with a significant quantity of marijuana.
She was arrested after stepping off a vessel at Bartica, in Region Seven.
According to police the arrest took place about 17:00hrs on Saturday. A 25 year-old female of Eve Housing Scheme, Linden was arrested for trafficking in narcotics by police in ‘F’ Division.
“Acting on intelligence, police detained and searched the suspect shortly after she arrived in Bartica on a vessel; the cannabis weighed four hundred and eighty five grams and the suspect is being processed for court on Monday (today),” police stated.
