Athletes are gearing up to bring their respective A-games to the 6th edition of the Courts Guyana Inc./Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) 10K Road Race will be contested tomorrow on the heels of the record breaking event held last year.
The event which is now a fixture on the AAG calendar has attracted clubs, athletes and gyms, last year’s event saw the largest registration in history for any 10K event in Guyana.
It is opened to runners in the junior, senior and masters categories for both males and females. Courts has invested over $2,000,000 in the organisation of this year’s event which will commence at the Courts Main Street Store from 06:00hrs.
Both the 10K and the 3K for staff members of Courts would be contested simultaneously as the company continues to promote healthy lifestyles even among its staff.
The 1st to 3rd place athletes in both male, female and staff members will be awarded with cash prizes and trophies. Courts have stated that it proud to be able to continue to host this event and make good on its commitment to the development sports in Guyana.
