Shaz Grosvenor struck a fine century as Adventure defeated Crown XI by 60 runs when the Adventure Sports Club T/10 softball tournament continued recently at Perseverance Beach on the Essequibo Coast.
Grosvenor slammed three fours and 18 sixes in a robust 137 as Adventure Sports Club posted 176 for 6 wickets in their 10 overs, batting first. Bowling for Crown XI, M. Gobin had 2-36. In reply Crown XI managed 116 for 6 wickets with S. Jagmohan and G. Singh scoring 30 and 29 respectively. Gavindra Sharma and Delon Grosvenor took two wickets each.
Golden Fleece trashed Ariel B by seven wickets. Ariel scored 171 without loss. Jonathan Fernandez smashed 88 with three fours and 12 sixes, while Brian Mangar made 71 including three fours and seven sixes. Patrick Rooplall then clobbered two fours and 16 sixes in an unbeaten 116 and got support from S. Rajpersaud 19 as Golden Fleece responded with 172-3.
Annandale A beat Annandale B by seven wickets. Annandale B made 92 for 7 with Ricardo Peters making 32; Aron Tribuwan and P. Ragbansie had two wickets each. Annandale A then responded with 92-3. Tribuwan hit 35, Ragbansie 26 and Andy Pierce 25; Avinash Kumar had two wickets. RG XI and Over 40 got walkovers from Ariel A and R1 Respectively.
Richmond hammered Reliance by 60 runs. Richmond batted first and made 110 for 4 wickets with Safraz Ali making a well constructive 48 (2×4, 3×6). In reply Reliance were bowled out for 50 in 7 overs with S. Ahiraam picking up four wickets.
