A fire at Kingsley Village, West Coast Berbice has left thirteen persons including eleven children homeless. The blaze occurred yesterday morning.
Homeless are Ms. Shelly Long, her reputed husband George McDonald, and the woman’s eleven children ages ranging from 22 to 3 years old. According to Ms Long, she has no idea how the fire began but she left her children at home at approximately 09:00h and ventured to a shop nearby. It was while she was on her way home that she noticed fire and smoke emanating from her house.
Long is estimating millions in losses. All of the children escaped the blaze unhurt.
