The Guyana Mixed Martial Arts Karate Association concluded their Annual Karate Exam on 29th July 2018 last, where students from the various dojos showcased great skills earning them the next level of grades.
The results are as follows: Ashi Harnauth promoted from white belt to 10kyu yellow belt. Junami Telman promoted from white belt to 9kyu orange belt.
Enami Telman promoted from white belt to 9kyu orange belt.
Tyrese Benons promoted from 10kyu yellow belt to 9kyu orange belt. Beyanka Benons promoted from white belt to 10kyu yellow belt.
Michael Bastiani promoted from white belt to 10kyu yellow belt.
Akash Roopnarine promoted from 9kyu orange belt to 8kyu green belt.

Abrar Wahid promoted from 1st degree black belt (shodan) to 2nd degree black belt (nidan). Master Lloyd Ramnarine congratulated each of the students for their amazing performances and for being successful in their exams, especially to his black belt students who achieved their 2nd degree black belt.

The four branches are; the Iron Fist Martial Arts Academy located at the New Grove/Diamond Primary School, the Canadian School Of Arts and Science Martial Arts Academy located in 3rd Avenue Diamond New Housing Scheme, the Invisible Kicks Martial Arts Academy located in La Parfait Harmony and the Vreed-en-Hoop Primary Martial Arts Academy located at the Vreed-en-Hoop Primary School.
The next event is an international tournament to be held in Suriname scheduled on the 18th and 19th of August.
