Day five rivalry in the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) / Juicy Juice Under-13 League today at the Timehri Red Ground will see four matches being played from 10:00hrs; Diamond Upsetters and Swan FC setting the pace for the day.
This would be followed by Samatta Point/Kaneville opposing Soesdyke Falcons from 11:15hrs after which Agricola Red Triangle will challenge Herstelling Raiders in the main supporting match.
The day’s final game brings together Kuru Kururu Warriors and Diamond United in what is anticipated to be a keen tussle with Diamond United currently in second place chasing down their third win in as many matches.
The Warriors notched their first points yesterday as a result of a walk over from Soesdyke and are eager to take another three today to cap off what would be a productive weekend.
Meanwhile, yesterday’s play saw Timehri Panthers Sports Club sailing to their fourth win in as many matches when they defeated Swan FC 3-0 on account of a double from the boot of Keyron Williams who has now taken his tally in the league to seven (7).
Williams netted in the 17th and 45th minute with the other goal coming from Joshua Clenkian in the 27th minute, his third of the league.
Agricola Red Triangle in their first competitive match clipped the wings of Hararuni Eagles 7-0 and in the process recorded the second joint fastest goal of the competition (1st minute) scored by Eon Daniels who achieved a helmet-trick in the match.
Diamond United’s Shaquan Braithwaite also scored for his side against Herstelling Raiders in the first minute.
Daniels rocked the nets again in the 30th, 40th and 60th minutes and was well supported by Floyd Boyce who converted in the 31st minute, Dangelo Dick in the 36th and Jonathan Andrews in the 56th minute to seal an emphatic win.
Timehri are well poised at the top of the points table with 12 points from four wins from as many starts and are followed by Diamond United and Diamond Upsetters on 6 points apiece from two wins each, both unbeaten but United ahead on a goal difference of +9 to Upsetters’ +4.
