The Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA) has organised a day/night competition in association with the Blairmont Community Center (BCC) that will be played for the Roy Fredericks Floodlight Cup ‘REVOLUTION’ and contested tomorrow at the Albion Sports Complex, Volleyball Court.
The late Roy Fredericks was a former West Indies cricket great and former Minister. The BCC has over the years been organising the Roy Fredericks Floodlight Cup which also involves cricket and other activities. This year the organisers have decided to team up with the BVA to make the activity bigger.
All the top volleyball teams in Berbice are expected to participate in the competition which will start at 14:00hrs. Guyanese-born world acclaimed Cricket Commentator Joseph ‘Red’s’ Pereira who is guest of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) is expected to be in attendance and to give live commentary.
Apart from volleyball and cricket other attractions include dominoes, spectators bowl off, spectator catching and more.
