Prison officials yesterday disclosed that there was yet another attempt to smuggle contraband items into the New Amsterdam facility.
Authorities reported that at about 04:16hrs, ranks retrieved a blue bag thrown over the fence.
Inside were three parcels of suspected marijuana, 32 packs of cigarettes, two bottles of white rum, paper to roll the marijuana and even lighters. The police were called in.
The prison authorities have been reporting a number of attempts which they were able to stop, in recent months.
