One change has been made to the Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club Emancipation Horserace Meet at Bush Lot Corentyne on Sunday July 29 with the fifth race on the programme, the Guyana Bred 3-year-old Open over 7 furlongs being for only Guyana Bred racehorses.
Turfites and Horse owners are reminded that Entries close this Sunday July 22 and that no late entries will be accepted.
Seven races will be held with the races being run under the rules of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority with the club reserving the right to cancel, reframe or reduce the prize money after consulting with the owners if less than five horse have been entered for any event.
Horse owners must pay at least $5,000 for each horse at the point of entry. If not paid the horse’s name would not appear on the official programme and will not be permitted to run.
Five Horses to start before the third prize is paid and seven horses to start before the 4th prize will be paid, while if only four horses start the prize money will be reduced by 25% and if only three horses start the prize money will be reduced by 40%.
The main event is the E1 & Lower 7furlongs gallop with an attractive winner’s purse of $600,000.
