The Budhan Memorial Turf Club will stage a one day horserace meet on Sunday August 26 at their Number 66 Village, Corentyne Racetrack starting at 1:00pm.
The organisers have informed that six races are carded for the day and over two million dollars in cash and trophies will be on offer for the outstanding performers. The main event is the race for J Class and Lower horses and the winner of that event will take away a $160,000 prize.
Other races will see L Class and lower, the 2 years old non-winners Guyana bred horses, the Unclassified Division 1 and the Unclassified Division 2 and the Cow horses in action.
The country’s leading J Class horses are expected to be on show during the main event and fans are promised a treat. The racetrack is in good shape as the weather pattern begins to change and an entertaining day at the races is promised.
Entries for the race will close on Sunday August 19.
