A Pit-bull minibus caught afire on the, Soesdyke-Linden Highway recently after developing mechanical problems in the vicinity of the Hararauni Village.
The minibus caught afire around 07:00 hrs. Villagers became aware of what was going on after hearing loud explosions like gunshots.
Witnesses claimed seeing a man running through the bushes, away from the minibus, after hearing the loud explosions. When asked what had happened, individuals from the Village of Hararauni were told that the man who was running had actually attempted to take out photos of the bus on fire, but after the tyres of the bus started to explode the man thought he was hearing gunshots, and started to run.
In one villager’s words, “The man bruk out through the bush.” The fire service was called in and was able to douse the blaze, but by that time, the bus had already been consumed by fire.
