The Region Two Culture and Youth officer, Mr. Herald Alves, made a presentation of backpacks and gifts to two parents and six students of the Little Red Village Primary School last Wednesday.
The primary school, which is located in Onderneeming, Essequibo Coast, is gradually expanding as the newly established community continues to develop.
The six pupils who received backpacks are all top performers for the academic year. The presentation was also for overall performance at the school. The two parents were presented with gifts for support and co-operation towards the school and teachers.
The backpacks and gifts were donated by the Region Two Culture and Youth Department, Ms. Andrea Benjamin and the Key International. The head teacher of the Little Red Village Primary School extended thanks to Mr. Alves and the other donors for supporting the school.
