The President and Executives of the Berbice Cricket Board has expressed profound sympathy former Presidents Rampersaud Ramnanand and Lennox Phillips on the recent deaths of their wives. Mrs. Dhandai Ramnanand age 86 died in Canada, while Millie Phillips died in Patterson, New Jersey at the age of 85.
Lennox Phillips served as the longest President of the Berbice Cricket Board from 1972 to 1985 while Rampersaud Ramnanand served as President from 1970 to 1971. The Berbice Cricket Board would like to reassure both former Presidents that they would remember them in their prayers and wished them God’s richest blessings and comfort in their moment of sorrow.
Dhandai Ramnanand and Millie Phillips both contributed in their own small way to the development of Berbice Cricket and would always be remembered for their charm and grace. The support to their husbands enabled them to contribute beyond the call of duty to the development of Berbice Cricket.
May God bless the souls of both former First Ladies of Berbice Cricket and Grant them eternal rest. May he also provide comfort to our former Presidents in their moments of grief a release from the board stated.
