On December 31, 2017, Waldron, 39, and Shawn Archibald, 29, both of Unity Place, South Ruimveldt, robbed Trevor Campbell of five gold chains valued $740,000 at Republic Avenue, Mackenzie, Linden.
A release stated that Campbell was standing in the vicinity of the Mackenzie Market with friends when three men came up and pointed handguns at him. One of the men said “You owe me from the bush”, and relieved the miner of his chains.
They then escaped in a silver-grey Toyota Allion. The entire robbery was recorded on a nearby CCTV camera.
