Regal Masters defeated Albion Masters by nine wickets when action in the Regal Sports/ Crown Mining Supply/Elegance Jewellery and Pawn Shop and Ink Plus softball tournament continued yesterday.
Albion Masters batted first and managed 85-3 off their allocation of 20 overs at the Everest Cricket Club. Ricky Deonarain slammed two fours and one six in a top score of 35, while John Sumair made 24 with one four. Mahendra Hardyal, Troy Kippins and Parsram Persaud took one wicket each.
Regal Masters had little trouble in overhauling their target as they finished on 86-1 in 11.2 overs.
Opener Mahase Chunilall reached the boundary on four occasions and cleared it once as he top scored with an unbeaten 43, while Eon Abel made 19 with two fours and Fazleem Mohamed 17 not out (1X6). Sahadeo Kissoon had 1-12.
