Ahead of their marquee championships, Senior Nationals on July 15 next, the Guyana Amateur Body building and Fitness Federation (GABBFF) will be hosting a two-day Judges Seminar which will see a few new judges joining the pool whilst those already in would use same as a refresher.
President of the GABBFF Coel Marks has disclosed that the Judges Seminar would be held from July 13-15 and would be facilitated by Antiguan Errol Williams who is the Chairman of Judges for the CAC.
Marks also informed that the federation is expected to visit a number of the outlying areas and will start with Berbice this weekend. Linden has been confirmed for Monday. Seniors, where the title of Mr. Guyana is at stake for the Overall winner has been confirmed for July 15 at the Parc Rayne Event Centre, located at Rahaman’s Turn, Houston, East Bank, Demerara.
Athletes are presently in a heightened stage of training for what is anticipated to be a fierce competition with the usual big names expected to be on stage in the bodybuilding and Mr. Physique segments as well as on the distaff side where the ladies would be flexing in the Ms Bikini and Miss Body fitness segments.
The federation has already selected a number of athletes for the CAC Championships that would take place in Mexico City from July 27-29, next. Admission to Parc Rayne for Seniors on Sunday July 15 is $2,500 with muscle flexing to commence at 19:00hrs.
