The Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) has announced that the dates for the Guyana Open 2018 is November 3 – 4, next. The club has also announced that the action would be recorded by drones which they will attempt to stream live, once achieved, this would be the first time in its history this would be done.
A press release from LGC also stated that they are projecting to attract a full field of 100 players along with many spectators, family members and friends as they would be aiming to create a pleasantly memorable, refreshing and captivating experience for all.
There would also be a cocktail reception that will cater for about 300 persons which will include players, Diplomats and Ministers of Government, among others. The Two-Day Medal Play Tournament would be contested over 36 holes. The Tee off times and groupings will be announced at the Cocktail Reception.
There would be three flights of competitors; A – 0-9; B – 10-18; and C – 19-28 with the starting time being 05:30hrs each day. There would also be a Schools’ Putting Competition that would be held on the second day from 16:30hrs.
Tournament Entry Fees are as follows: Local (Current) Members $25,000; Foreign Members $30,000; Non-Members (local or foreign) $40,000. The first 100 players to pay would be registered. VIP Tickets will cost $10,000 per day.
