Dolphin Speed Swim Club chalked up 445 points the emerge champions of the Sea Otters Inter Club meet which was held recently at the National Aquatic Centre, Liliedaal.
Sea Otters placed second with 433 points ahead of Dorado Speed Swim Club 427, Orca Speed Swim Club 232, Silver Shark Aquatic Swim Club 173 and Torpedo Swim Club on 155.
Shafeerah Lewis, Ricardo Spencer, Ariel Rodrigues, Jeron Sookram, Noel Raekwon were among her outstanding swimmers with Lewis winning the girls 8 and under 50m backstroke in a time of 43.53, while Spencer claimed the boys equivalent in 54.91. Rodrigues won the girls 9-10 50m backstroke in 40.10 before Sookram claimed the boys 9-10 50 m backstroke in 43.22.
The girls 11-12 50m backstroke was taken by Aleka Persaud in 34.30, Rakewon captured the boys 11-12 50m backstroke in 33.11, Donna Carter claimed the girls 13-14 50m backstroke in 43.41 and Leon Seaton Jr carted off the boys 13-14 50m backstroke in 30-46.
The girls 15 and over 50m backstroke was taken by Xiomara Getrouw in 30.88, while Daniel Scott claimed the boys 15 and over 50m backstroke in 30.26. Lewis registered another win the girls 8 and under 50m breaststroke in 53.05, Eon Mc Clean won the boys 50m breaststroke in 1:03.50 while Kayla Hardy claimed the girls 9-10 50m breaststroke in 43.11.
Micah Chichester took the top podium spot in the girls 9-10 50m breaststroke in 44.55, while Aleka Persaud claimed the girls 11-12 50m breaststroke in 39.47 and Raekwon took the boys 11-12 50m breaststroke in 38.06. The girls 13-14 50m breaststroke was won by Sifia Pinol in 42.93 while Leon Seaton won the boys equivalent in 35.69.
Jamila Sanmoogan won the girls 15 and over 50m breaststroke in 31.65; Daniel Scott claimed the boys 15 and over 50m breaststroke in 31.65.
Veronica Persaud won the girls 8 and under 25m freestyle in 25.50, Eli Gouveia won the boys 8 and under 25m freestyle in 23.08, Neveah Brower carted off the girls 9-10 25m freestyle in 21.47, Harry Robinson claimed the boys 9-10 50m freestyle in 19.18 Janaisi Nurse won the girls 11-12 25m freestyle in 25.97, Timothy Souvenir claimed the boys 11-12 25m freestyle in 19.86 while Ariel Rodrigues took the girls 9-10 100m freestyle in 1:16.10 and Jeron Sookram carted off the boys 9-10 100m freestyle in 1:17.46. Ethan Gonsalves claimed the boys 11-12 100m freestyle in 1:03.29; Donna Carter claimed the girls 13-14 100m freestyle in 1:08.93 and Leon Seaton won the boys 13-14 100m freestyle in 57.69.
Jamila Sanmoogan took the top podium spot in the girls 15 and over 100m freestyle in 1:05.12 while Daniel Scott claimed the boys equivalent in 56.49.
Aleka Persaud won the girls 11-12 50m butterfly in 31.25, Raekwon claimed the boys 11-12 50m butterfly in 32.11, while Leon Seaton carted off the boys 13-14 50m butterfly in 28.62. Nikita Fiedtkou won the girls 15 and over backstroke and 100m freestyle.
