In the morning games, Success Masters beat Savage Masters by four wickets before Regal Masters hammered Ariel Masters by 53 runs, while Parika Defenders defeated Savage Masters by 72 runs and Regal disposed of Fisherman’s Masters by 75 runs in the afternoon games.
In sunny conditions on a sluggish outfield Narendra Pooran’s fighting 37 was the only score of note as Raymon Karim (3-5) and Trevor Emanuel (2-18) conspired to dismiss Savage Masters for 81 in 19.1 overs.
Led by 28 from Mark Fung, Success Masters reached 82-4 as Vivakanand Ramsawack had 2-13.
In the other morning game, Regal took first strike and piled up 190-8 to register the day’s highest total as Fazleem Mohammed (47), former Malteenoes youth batsman Mahesh Chunilall (28), Erick Thomas (28) and ex Bermine big hitter Randolph Barker (25) all got starts without going on.
Rudolph Mayers (3-27) and former Guyana U-19 opener Peter Persaud (2-26) were the main wicket-takers for Ariel who were dismissed for 137.

Former Essequibo Hard ball off-spinner Hardyal, playing on his former home ground, registered the best figures of the day by capturing 4-29.

Desmond Harris (3-27) and Kavesh Persaud (2-17) shared five wickets between them.
Regal Masters, in their second game of the day, made 170-6 with Chunilall (31), Baker (35) and Hardyal (27) leading the fight with the bat.
