Rawle Munroe,35, of Ann’s Grove was yesterday remanded to prison for the murder of Edward Bevney, on May 26, 2018.
He was remanded by Magistrate Zamilla Ali at the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Court, East Coast Demerara.
Munroe told the court that he resides at Lot 40 Two friends, Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara. The court also heard from Munroe that he is a father of one but that the child does not live in Guyana.
On the day in question, he and Bevney were involved in an argument over a bicycle and they inflicted wounds on each other. The wounds Bevney received were fatal.
The incident took place in Beterverwagting. The magistrate asked the man if he had any previous matters before the court and he admitted to being charged with assault.
He was remanded to prison and would return on June 26. He was not represented in court yesterday.
