In the Monday, May 21, 2018 edition of Kaieteur News, a headline was published “Bartica sand pit, BK quarry ordered closed by Minister Broomes”.
In the report, it said that Durban Quarry was given a cease order during an impromptu visit by Minister Simona Broomes and a team. Nowhere in the report did it say that BK International quarry was issued a cease work order.
As such, Kaieteur News apologises for the misleading headline.
