After several months of waiting, Sueria Manufacturing Inc.’s CEO, Frank Sanichara, is advising all of their loyal customers that Juicy Juice 100% Juice is now available for sale in Guyana.
According to Sanichara, over the past months, the company was waiting on authentication and verification of documents from the relevant government authorities. This has been done and he is very grateful to all those who were involved during this process, especially the Ministry of Health, the Guyana Food and Drugs Department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United States Embassy. The CEO further wishes to thank customers for their patience during this lengthy process.
Juicy Juice is a brand of juice geared towards children and is best known for its slogan, “The very best juice for the very best kids”. The Juicy Juice brand was owned by Nestle and was introduced by Libby’s since 1977. The brand is now owned by Harvest Hills Beverage, which is another leading beverage giant in the United States. It controls the majority of the 100% juice market share in the United States and is very popular with kids in the USA. Sueria Manufacturing Inc. has secured the exclusive rights to distribute this juice in Guyana.
When asked why Juicy Juice 100% Juice is a better choice than its competitors, Frank Sanichara responds, “The name says it all, its 100% juice. There are not many 100% juices available for kids in Guyana. Not only is it 100% juice, but there is no added sugar. It is important to note that the sugar displayed on the nutritional facts comes from the fruit, unlike many other kids’ drinks where processed sugar is added. Also, there are no artificial flavors used.”
Sanichara, a father of three kids himself, stressed that in a changing world, it is very important that our kids start using healthy products at a young age. “Diabetes is becoming an epidemic throughout the world and it’s important that our children are trained at an early age to use healthier products. Juicy Juice is an alternative choice to many kids’ beverages that are loaded with processed sugar. We don’t want them to make the same mistakes we made when we were younger.”
Juicy Juice comes in eight (8) different flavors to choose from (Apple, Berry, Fruit Punch, Grape, Kiwi Strawberry, Orange Tangerine, Peach Strawberry and Strawberry Watermelon). While the apple flavor is made with apple juice alone, the rest of the flavors are blended with multiple juices.
When asked what is the difference between a fruit drink and fruit juice, Sanichara’s response was, “Look at the box, see what percentage of juice is stated on the nutritional facts. It should tell you the difference.” In most instances, a fruit drink is a mixture of artificial flavors, artificial colors and added sugar and, in some instances, a very small percentage of juice is added. On the other hand, Juicy Juice contains 100% Juice, no artificial flavors, no artificial colors and no sugar added. Fruit juice manufacturers are required by law to declare the percentage of juice contained in a container. This will assist consumers to make a better decision when shopping for their kids’ juice.”
With what other products, currently on the Guyana market, do you think this juice would be in competition with? “There is a limited amount of 100% juice brands in Guyana. Those are the only competition in this class of juice.Juicy Juice is not only affordable; it’s a healthier choice for any educated parent. There is also 100% Vitamin C, which is another important nutrient for kids. I am not a doctor, but I challenge parents to look at the nutritional facts and make that comparison. I even recommend that parents talk to their pediatricians about choosing the right juice box for their kids.”
Sanichara said, “According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, kids need 1-2 cups of fruit per day. While most of their daily servings should come from whole fruits, Juicy Juice can help too. He promises that every 6.75 fluid box of Juicy Juice 100% Juice provides ¾ cup of fruit, so kids can get the nutrients they need.
Sanichara said several large supermarkets and wholesalers are already on board, including Survival Supermarket, which will be selling at wholesale prices. This product should be selling across the country in a matter of days.
