Over 50 children from the Roxanne Burnham Gardens/South Ruimveldt and surrounding areas participated in the second of a series of Guyana Football Federation (GFF) “Kool Kidz” Grassroots Outreach held Sunday.
The session was held under the supervision of the GFF’s Technical Development Officers and
Youth Development Officers respectively from 11:00hrs at the Roxanne Burnham Gardens
Square.
The children were engaged in fun activities, which introduced them to “the beautiful game”, as part of a partnership between the GFF and the Guyana Beverages Company Inc., to provide constructive activities for children in vulnerable communities.
Martin King, a participant, said he “had fun and learned how to shoot penalty and defend” while another participant, Nicolas Nuella, said he made friends at the session.
The next schedule for the Grassroots Outreach is St. Phillips Green on the 19th May, 2018 for the children in the Leopold Street and surrounding areas.
