A Mahaica, East Coast Demerara man is wanted by police for the 2015 murder of a 55-year-old taxi driver from Crane, West Demerara.
According to police, yesterday, they want to question Sheldon Colin Abrams, 47, of Lot 6 Supply, Mahaica.
This is in relation to the murder of Colin Clarke which occurred between November 25, and December 3, 2015 at Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara.
“Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Sheldon Colin Abrams is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 226-2870, 229-2655, 229-2289, 227-1149, 226-7065, 911 or the nearest police station. All information will be treated with the strictest confidence,” the police said.
It was reported that Clarke’s partially decomposed body was found in the vicinity of Uitvlugt on December 3, 2015.
Clarke, popularly known as “Ole Boy” of Crane Housing Scheme, WCD, and a missing hire car driver, was last seen a few days before.
Both the 55-year-old man and a silver-grey Toyota Allion motorcar, HC 4993, which he operated, disappeared.
His sister, Maureen Clarke, said he would never go anywhere without informing his family members.
The dead man’s cousin, Michael Johnson, had told Kaieteur News that relatives were contacted and they went to identify his body.
The man explained that his cousin was found with a brake cable around his neck.
“It look like he get strangle with the cable, cause part of he neck cut.”
The man’s sister explained that the car is owned by her niece’s mother. Clarke would usually pick it up every morning from Sisters Village to carry out his daily work.
