In light of celebrating their 25th anniversary, G&J Phone cards decided to give back to their wholesalers throughout the 10 different regions. The business owner, Mr. Rampertab Etwar, also known as Uncle Jimmy, hosted the promotion to get more persons on board in selling phone credit.
The promotion ran from April 3 to April 27 at different locations in and around Guyana. Phone card vendors were able to win prizes from the company at the promotion drawing on Friday 27th April, at their main office at 171 Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.
The prizes were given to the persons who activated the most customers in first, second and third places.
Vendors who purchased $10,000 in Digicel or GTT credit, also got a chance to win 5000 in minutes and in addition to the $20,000 spent they were able to get a free SIM and a free phone.
The three grand prizes were $25,000 in top up, five new top up customers and a cellular phone. The first prize was won by Mr Itwar Ishwarchan, followed by Pressy’s Enterprise and in third place, Roopchan Jaichand.
Consolation prizes included T-shirts, bottles, free top up among other prizes.
According to a few of the sales staff the promotion saw a great response from the public and they expect to grow while satisfying their customers. The company currently has 58 wholesalers throughout the country.
